Luc Tanoh is Chief Executive Officer at Econet Renewable Energy Systems. He holds a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, and a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of Berkeley, California.
Mr Tanoh brings to his position his considerable knowledge of the global telecommunications, information-technology, power-utility and engineering sectors. He has worked for and with international companies in the United States, throughout Europe and across Africa.
Prior to holding the position of CEO at Econet Renewable Energy Systems, Mr Tanoh was Group Business Development Officer at Econet Wireless International, where he was involved in the successful development of the Group’s footprint in West and Central Africa. Econet Wireless International is a diversified telecommunications group of which Econet Renewable Energy Systems is a subsidiary.
Highly skilled in management and consultancy, Mr Tanoh directs his passion toward transforming the lives of people throughout Africa and the developing world using what is arguably the world’s most renewable source of energy: solar.



Amdutt Parthab is Econet Renewable Energy System’s COO. Mr Parthab holds an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal and a Diploma in Management Studies from Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College in the United Kingdom.

Highly proficient in management, Mr Parthab is considered a master in the creation of technical rollout strategies. His experience stretches across the telecommunications sector: he has held senior technical positions at Nokia Siemens Networks, Vodacom, ZTE Corporation South Africa, 4SMS Africa, Altech Telecomms and Telkom.



Ed Craven is Head of the Power Division at Econet Renewable Energy Systems. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Natal, Durban (now known as the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal) and a Master of Business Leadership from the University of South Africa.

Mr Craven’s expertise lies in network preparation, build, roll-out and expansion. Prior to his current position, he was responsible for global network construction at Econet Wireless International, a diversified telecommunications group of which Econet Renewable Energy Systems is a subsidiary.

He has lived and worked in Japan, Kenya, Scotland, New Zealand, Zimbabwe and Brazil, and brings to his present position 28 years of global experience and business versatility in respect of the network and engineering industries.

As Head of Econet Solar International’s Power Division, Mr Craven focuses on the development of large solar power units.



Calton Nhando is Econet Renewable Energy System’s Product Support Manager. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems and Information Technology from Bond University in Australia, and an MBA from Hult International Business School in London.

Mr Nhando has a deep understanding of customer business operations. He brings this knowledge and his experience in IT consultancy to bear when working on the alignment of technical support processes with business operations. His portfolio includes supervision of the Econet Solar Home Power Station V1 and the provision of product support and management. Mr Nhando is also point of contact for all technical issues. He is accomplished at seamlessly providing technical solutions.
